Hi, welcome to my world.

My passion is designing products people can bond with for years.

Every purchase is a decision, and an identity statement to the world around you. I work to hold the best balance between form-function fit, ergonomics, longevity, up-cycling, brand identity and repairability, so the world's resources go to lasting human use.

About me

Good design is my passion. The lasting bond a well-designed product forms with the person using it, the way it serves them, the way it makes their life easier for years: that is what drives me. This has taken me across a wide spectrum at home and abroad, from mechatronics and robotics to consumer electronics, furniture, and steel construction.

Market research → idea generation → sketching → CAD → engineering → prototyping → verification

Constraints stay visible

Production pressure, a material limit, an unverified assumption. All of it stays visible in the project, not tucked away.

Designed as a system

Not a single object, but its maintenance, its use cycle and the user journey, considered together.

Manufacturing shapes form

Sheet bending, laser cutting, welding, injection molding, 3D printing, DIN standards. The chosen method is part of the design, not a note added later.

Awards

TEKNOFEST 2023 Design & Presentation Award. ITU 2nd Best Graduation Project 2023. FURNITUR 2023 Prize & Mention. Design for Export OAİB Finalist.

Experience

Timeline

Jan 2024 – Present · Paderborn

Industrial Designer & Design Engineer, TUS Metallbau

Design and development of balcony systems, canopies, railings, steel structures and glass facades, ensuring compliance with engineering and building standards. Create 3D models, assemblies and production drawings; formulate BOMs; carry out on-site measurements and optimize designs for manufacturing, tolerances and assembly.

Jun 2023 – Dec 2023 · Paderborn

Industrial Design Intern, TUS Metallbau

Aug 2022 – Jun 2023 · Istanbul

Design Engineer, ITU ROV Team

Worked on watertight enclosures, structural chassis and sensor/propulsion integration. The Pioneer Mk2 nose module design is mine. See the full case study.

Feb 2022 – Aug 2022 · Istanbul

Product Design Intern, Robotistan

Designed injection-molded enclosures, snap-fit connections and microcontroller integration for Arduino-based educational robotics kits. One of these, REX, shipped as a real product with its own assembly guide, see the full case study.

2018 – 2023 · GPA 3.46 / 4.00

B.Sc. Industrial Design, Istanbul Technical University
